Welcome To ROK House

ROK House is a fantastic refurbished home from home located in the Town of Amble. The house can sleep up to 5 people comfortably in 3 bedrooms and is the perfect location to get out and explore Northumberland.

There is private parking for up to 2 cars, or if bringing the all important dogs you can enclose the rear patio area to keep them safe. This restricts you to space for one car but there is street parking opposite ROK House free of charge.

Entering ROK House from here through the large bi-fold doors which flood the house with light you walk into what we like to call the family room, open plan Kitchen with large breakfast bar, dining table and snug with TV, the perfect area for family days,

There's a further large lounge with TV, inset gas log effect fire. The perfect place to relax with a coffee and book, It's also perfect for children to go and chill out or play. Also in the lounge there is sofa bed which can be used by prior arrangement.

The last room on the ground floor is a large wet room with rain and conventional showers, this is replicated in the bathroom on the first floor but with a large shower cubicle. The ground floor benefits from full underfloor heating so is always warm and cosy on those colder days.

Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, bedroom 1 with king size bed. Bedroom 2 with either 2 singles or can be converted to a superking, just let us know how you would like it set up during booking and finally there is a single room.

Hopefully we have included everything you would need to enjoy your stay but let us know if we have missed any thing.

From the front door there are numerous opportunities to walk, cycle, and explore. Shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs are all within a 2 minute walk with the closest beach a further 5 minutes. Down at the harbour you will find Spurreli's Boutique Ice Cream, not just ice cream but superb coffee too.

Situated next to Spurreli's In a fantastic location right on the harbour front, you will find Amble Harbour Village consisting of a seafood centre with its own lobster hatchery along with 15 small retail pods selling a variety of arts, crafts, jewellery and food & drink as well as a redeveloped harbour front which will incorporate a sea-front pathway from the harbour to the marina.

Take a boat trip to Coquet Island from Amble.
Amble is home to the UK’s only puffin festival, inspired by the colourful 36,000-bird colony nesting on Coquet Island, an RSPB seabird sanctuary a mile off the coast. Watch the birds on a Puffin Cruise sailing from Amble harbour. Other seabirds and wildlife are aplenty in these shores, including Roseate terns and seals.

Quaint villages, castles a plenty and miles of unspoilt sandy beaches all within a short drive, the iconic Alnwick Castle long associated with Harry Potter, numerous other blockbuster movies and TV programmes a short drive away. Also the fantastic Alnwick Gardens with their spectacular Grand Cascade, sitting within the gardens you will find the Treehouse Restaurant where you can enjoy a coffee or some thing cooler up in the tree tops.

The list of places to visit is endless, why not find out for yourself and visit England's County of Castles

Let your holiday be fun filled and you have memorable moments of happiness. I hope you have a great time with friends and family this holiday. Have a happy holiday.
